Itinerary " Les Gorges du Verdon " : Discover the Gorges du Verdon, this famous and magnificent canyon, unique in Europe, resulting from the slow erosion caused by the passage of the Verdon.
As you go along the circuit, towards this major tourist place of Provence, you will discover an exceptional natural heritage (Regional Natural Park of Verdon), many panoramas with landscapes as magnificent as varied. You will discover, via this itinerary, a beautiful outline of what makes the wealth of our territory in Provence.
Itinerary :
Take the D952 in the direction of Riez. In this charming village, the Roman columns bear witness to the long historical past of the region.

Continue along the same road to reach Moustiers-Sainte-Marie,
a perched village classified as a "Cité de Caractère" and recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Take the direction of La Palud sur Verdon, a village at the gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, then follow the "Route des Crêtes" on the D23, on the right bank of the Verdon (this road is a one-way street allowing you to make a loop).
You will enjoy a spectacular view and there are many places to park to get closer to the lookouts and admire the view. If you're lucky, you may spot eagles flying over the canyon or seasoned climbers climbing up the steep walls.
